Mowing and Dads Day. Thoughts for Thirsty Thursday.

Nacho Night! Gotta Love Thursday! Also referred to as "Thirsty Thursday" beacuse we usually have a drink or two with nachos to commensurate the almost-here weekend. Well no drinks for me, but it's Nacho Night for sure!

So far it's a great day. I got a good night's sleep - fell asleep watching the hockey game. Woke up to sunshine... and really, it's gotta be fantastic when at 4:45am the sun is shining. I'm anticipating good things from today, even if clouds have since tumbled in! Then I got to work to find a co-worker brought me in a Cafe Mocha. Woo Hoo! Love my mochas!

On the divorce front, apparently Paul's lawyer has changes to make to the settlement before I'll see it again. I'm hoping that comes soon. I've got mortgage brokers lined up, paperwork started and everything ready to go to get it done before the ink has even completed drying on the settlement.

My brother showed up last night and brought me a present! My very own drill! I'm excited. (yeah if you're wondering why, read the top again where I put REDNECK chick!). Gonna use it tonight to unscrew the screws holding my airbox closed on my car and replace my air filter, in an effort to improve fuel consumption. One of the many things that hit my "to-do" list lately. Should be a simple task, even for a gurl. LOL. THat's my rain plan.  That and do a little work on the bike.

My sun plan includes a whole lot a mowin' goin' on.  If Bobby ever volunteers for something and ropes me into 3 hours a week again, I just might have to strangle him! Oh well, at least mowing is something I LIKE to do. (And please don't comment saying you have mowing for me to do, unless you pay well -  I already have 5 hours a week of mowing to do.) But mowing is great, you're outside, you're doing something productive, you're getting a tan and you're getting exercise! How can you really not enjoy mowing.

Plans for the weekend? I'm hoping to take it easy. Saturday Amy wants to do a bike run.. and I'd like to bike with that crew and I'd like to do that area, but, geeze what happen' to relaxin'? I've got housework and yardwork of my own to do (assuming I get half the mowing done tonite and half done tomorrow night).

Sunday is Dad's day, so I have the chore of trying to keep my insults and rude comments to myself for a day in an effort to show my appreciation for providing me life. Foot in mouth Yeah. we'll see how that goes. Does a case of beer make a good dad's day gift? It's easy, cheap and I know he'd like it! Not really creative tho. And then I have the dilemma of do I have to give him the free glass or can I keep it for myself. Decisions, decisions. Yeah, let's go with a creative gift of something for his camera instead. Hmmm what about photo frames in case he wants to frame any of the photos he takes.... well I just may be onto something here! I'll keep thinking, it's usually the small things that he likes best anyways, just have to figure out what.
